Lorry Driver of the Year.
Mr Allan Gill, who works for Tennent Caledonian Breweries in Dundee, had been voted lorry driver of the year in a competition sponsored by Bass Charrington in Scotland. He came second in a contest open to all the company's drivers which took place in Birmingham. The trials involved speed, maneuverability, and knowledge of the Highway Code. Mr Gill is seen in the Cab of his seven and a half ton lorry.
