1 Thistle Street at Adelphi Street was owned by Thomas Russell, he owned another pub on Crown Street.
24 Thistle Street was owned by Andrew Kerr he also had another pub on Crown Street.
45 Thistle Street was owned by Edward Taylor, between him and his brother Henry they owned 4 pubs which included South Wellington Street, Bridge Street and Buchanan Street, these guys formed the well known firm of Stevenson Taylor's.
